iPhone music syncing issues

Two issues:
1) A few recently upload albums on my computer aren't syncing to my iPhone
2) A few recently purchases songs on my iPhone aren't syncing to my computer

I've selected "sync all songs", and I haven't selected "sync only ticked songs", and all the formats should be fine (unless iTunes doesn't support songs bought off the iTunes store!).

No idea what the issue is as the syncing has been flawless since I got it (over a month ago). Any advice?

Wow ok, now it's really screwed up. I now I have 4 songs on my iPhone, but 50 GB of audio. Time for a restore...

A hard reset, might also fix this.

Is a hard reset just turning it off and on again? Think I tried that.

Anyway it's wiped now, I'm going to first try put on the songs that I wasn't able to before. I think the whole syncing thing went foul - no real data transfer either way. Quite odd.

A hard reset is holding the home and power button until it restarts.

Alright cool, I'll keep that in mind.

Everything seems to be working fine so far. Got my library back on the iPhone.
