iPhone Mystery Delete? Auto Delete?

I installed an app and saw that it was about a little under 1GB big. I only had about ~1GB free, but I was unaware of how much free space I had at the time so I downloaded and it went through and it worked. I just looked and saw that the app installed took up 1.1GB, but my free space is now 2.4 GB. Is my phone deleting stuff without telling me?

Well...

Your pic shows that you still somehow happen to have only 140 apps, the same as before you downloaded and installed the new 1gb app.
