Ok, will all the new leaks and interest towards the iPhone Nano launching at MacWorld, will Apple and Cingular revive their bond with another strong US exclusivity agreement or will they open up their business relations and give the product to another carrier in the US?

I would love to see this item on Tmobile, because of the market share tmobile offers in the US, but I doubt they would want to challenge their G1 and possible G2 so soon.

Look forward to your thoughts.

I would think that ATT would try to hold onto the iPhone in the US for atleast a couple more years. But I don't know if there's a clause in the document saying ATT can only have the iPhone and not the iPhone Nano.

Apple and AT&T will most likely keep working together.
Other cell phone services already had their chance when Apple came to them; AT&T was the only company that accepted them.

If it were to be exclusive to anyone, I would guess it would be tied to AT&T. Apple already has an established tie with them, and it wouldn't make good business sense imo to upset that relationship by signing another exclusive deal (thus shutting AT&T out) with another carrier.

Can you imagine the ads? '

Apple iPhone, available only on AT&T.
Apple iPhone nano, available only on T-mobile.

Doesn't make sense, imo. Just the other day I saw an iPhone ad that stressed the Apple/AT&T partnership.

Based on that, my guess would be:
1) AT&T-exclusive
2) Available on all carriers (whether that means all GSM carriers, or ALL carriers, I'm not sure.)

I don't have an opinion either way as to whether a nano is on the way, and I wouldn't be interested in getting one if it was. But I have to admit that there certainly has been a massive amount of talk about it lately all over the net.

What I would love to see though would be a list created off all of the people who are just completely dismissing it and making out that the people who accept it as a possibility are stupid. That way if one was announced at Macworld there would be a list of the people who have ended up with egg all over their faces.

I'd be willing to bet since there will be no iPhone nano, that AT&T will not infact get exclusivity.
Just my $0.02.

On the other hand, no one else will have it, so AT&T can claim to have it exclusively. And theoretically. :D

If there is an iPhone Nano and if it is at all decent, I'd hope Verizon gets it. But there's that issue where I think Verizon wants their V Cast on everything and Apple no likey.

nor was such "evidence" in favor of those doubting the powerbook G5.

But... but it's real! I've seen pictures!

Suck it up, iPhone nano crowd. This is as real as the Mac Fusion.

Agree. I don't see Apple changing midstream if you will.

Personally, I will be very surprised if we see a Nano version of the iPhone.

I think the rumors are true. And as a basic phone it will be sold through
ANY interested carriers. It will decimate the likes of Samsung and Nokia.

This whole nano debate is stupid. If you think you know for sure there will be a nano, you're wrong. If you think you know there will not be a nano, you're also wrong. Will it happen? Maybe. Photos on the internet will not prove anybodies point. Is there evidence that a nano may come out? Yes. Is it definitive? No. End of story/debate.
