Hi,

I am new to all this so please do point me in the right direction if this subject has already been discussed/solved.

I am trying to setup a wireless network that will operate like a sonos network, but on a bit of a budget. I thought a very nice solution would be to use an iPhone (with the Remote app maybe), a buffalo link station live nas disc, wireless router and Apple express (for the hifi end). The remote app can already control iTunes running on a PC and send the music on that pc onto the apple express speakers.

My question is: is there a way of using the iPhone to control the media stored on the Linkstation Live but without the PC step? Also as a bit of an extra would it be possible to control the media to such an extent that you could send data, in any form, from the Linkstation to a device that is on the network? I.e. different songs to different rooms, different videos to different rooms etc etc (as seen on the Apple TV...). If all this could be achieved through iTunes on the phone that would be pretty good, as then you could still get nice features like album art, cover flow etc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
