I sold my Android smartphone and picked up an iPhone 4S today. Much of its operation is not dissimilar to that of my Android, and that is making the transition reasonable.

Some things, though, seem to have no answers I can find in the downloadable 4S manual.

1. I need to check my home and cell phone messages regularly. On my Android, if I called up the phone and pressed 1, I was connected to my cell phone voicemail. Pressing 2 would connect me to my home phone voice mail. These shortcuts, of course, were dialing numbers previously entered by me, along with the required pauses, et cetera. Is there a way to do something similar with the iPhone? If so, how?

2. My Android had apps that I could put on the home page to turn on and off networking functions such as Wi-Fi, Data, and Bluetooth. So far, it seems i have to drill down through a number of iPhone members to get to these. How do I get access to these "switches" on the home page?

3. Call blocking...there doesn't seem to be an app that blocks calls you want to block. Or is there?

4. A battery meter app that shows percentage of battery time left?

I don't want to jailbreak the phone.

Appreciate any help.
