iPhone Newbie Question: Mail

Hi my mate has a mobile me account and gets his emails immediately on his iphone.

I want to buy an iphone4 but have a yahoo mail account, will my emails arrive just as quickly with the push technology?...or will I have to get a mobile me account?

from what i remember, yahoo offers push.

You will be able to receive your Yahoo email on your iPhone without any MobileMe account.
Merely set it up as normal.
How to setup Yahoo! email on iPhone.

Make sure you have enabled PUSH on your iPhone as well.
