I have an iPhone 3G running iOS 4.0.1 and it's not showing up in iTunes (v9.2.1 - Mac)

I first tried all of this, but it didn't help:
http://www.apple.com/support/iphone/assistant/itunes/#section_4

Then I tried http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1747 and it solved the problem - I could see the iphone, sync it, etc. But then the problem returned. I repeated the reinstall of iTunes and it solved the problem again.... but only for a few days. Now it's back to it not appearing.

What could possibly be causing this bizarre behavior? How can I prevent it from happening?

I should mention that the phone is jailbroken, but that shouldn't matter, correct? i have several friends with jailbroken phones that don't have this problem.

Thanks,
Scott

Hey,

The possible causes are:

1) You Jailbroke
2) Faulty Connection
3) It hates you

My solutions:

1) >> TRY A DIFFERENT USB PORT <<

Hope this helps

If that does not work get back to me and I'll think of something else!
