Is anyone else's iPhone not checking your email automatically over EDGE at your set increment? I'm running 1.1.1.

Ive had this problem a lot with 1.1.1, but only every now and then with 1.1.2.

It is rather annoying, but it I'd getting better.

mine has been working fine. I've had my iphone little less than a week. Upgraded to fw 1.1.2 the day of activation. I'm also using IMAP Gmail. with all my other emails forwarded to gmail.

btw...i love this thing. Best $400 dollars i've spent this year.:D

I've constantly had this problem. The email checks sporadically, only 3x a day when it is supposed to check 4x an hour. I'm using an AOL account (!) and a Yahoo! account.

Mine does this intermittently. Gmail and IMAP. (uk 1.1.2)

Sometimes its fine, sometimes it updates only when i load the mail app. phone restarts dont make a differnece, there seems to be no pattern to it.

Interestingly enough i noticed last night that when connected to my home wifi it was working like push email, i set it to check every 15 mins but i was getting email notifications as soon as they arrived in my gmail, several within a 5 min period. Now, this morning, it hasnt been checking at all. weird.

I've tried almost everything, but returning my iphone. I use pop email and my iPhone never recieves emails automatically anymore. I always have to hit the refresh button to get emails and a whole bunch flood in. It does the same thing no matter weather Im connected via wifi or edge. Any ideas on what to do. It has not always done this. I've had my phone for about 3 months now and recently it started doing this. Thanks.

Yup. Mine has gone from checking every once in a while to never checking anymore at all.

I started a thread a while ago about the same issue... my iPhone will check every fifteen minutes and then all of a sudden just stop. It won't continuously check until I go into settings select manual and select 15 minutes all over again.

It's really frustrating. A $400 phone SHOULDN'T HAVE THIS PROBLEM!

yeah, the bad thing is that I have not been able to find a solution to this, or a way to prove i to Apple, it has like mood swings. I'm willing to bet when I bring it in there it will work fine and that will just be bad all together. Like I said I don't know what to do...
