iPhone not pushing or fetching mail while charging overnight

Is anyone else having this problem? When I put my phone down to charge overnight, no push email from MobileMe or fetched email from gmail arrives on my phone. This has happened 2 nights in a row now. Otherwise, throughout the day, it never has a problem. My phone is on wifi overnight.

I don't use MobileMe but I use push notifications for my gmail and I haven't had an issue while charging overnight. I don't go to wifi though, I just stay on 3G.

This happened to me again... Push stopped working. Powering off and on works bur only temporarily. I may have to try a restore... Sigh.
