iphone not reading my AT&T sim card

I purchased a Brand New iPhone 4 32GB 4.2.1 from ebay. Once I got it I had to activate it but when I put in my activate AT&T sim card it wouldn't activate. Then I just jailbroke it with redsn0w and now it is not reading my sim card. What should I do?:confused::confused::confused:
