iPhone not ringing when I receive a text

I have biteSMS. This problem didn't start until recently. When my iphone receives a text, it doesn’t ring unless I’m inside the actual bitSMS application. On the lockscreen it doesn’t ring or light up. Using SBSettings I managed to track it down to the mobile substrate plugin “biteSMSsb”. I would just disable it, but it includes most of the core functionality (Quick reply and Quick compose.) Does anyone know how to fix this? The only things that have changed on my iphone is I installed spire but I tried uninstalling it and it didn't fix it
