iPhone not showing up in iPhoto.

I've been trying for the past hour to get some photos off my iPhone 4S and onto my Mac, and I just can't figure out how to do it. my iphone is not showing up in iPhoto or Image Capture and I'm totally stumped. I've ticked the box in the iPhoto prefs that says open iPhoto when you connect a camera and still nothing.

It's working fine in iTunes.

Ideas?

Try restarting the iPhone. I've noticed that it sometimes get stuck and that fixes it.
