Iphone not showing up in Itunes or Iphoto

Hi I recently performed an erase and install of Snow leopard on my Mac. I then used migration assistant to restore my data. I notice that when I plug my Iphone into my Mac Pro, it does not show up in Itunes or Iphoto. How can I get it to show up again so that I can sync my Iphone? Thanks
