I will keep this short and sweet.

I like to tag my music library as cleanly as possible, so I always erase "Deluxe Version" out of album titles.

My iPhone 5 synced my existing library fine, but when I purchased a new song today and erased the Deluxe tag, and then synced, it still shows up on my iPhone with the "Deluxe Version" title. It's not a tagging issue because it synced just fine on my iPod Nano 7G.

Edit: it's not an iCloud issue either as I don't use iCloud.

What gives? What do I do to fix this?

The same thing is happening to me with album titles. I opened up the iTunes XML file, and the correct info is in there. My guess is this is either a bug or it is grabbing the the titles from the iTunes Store. Super annoying.

I seem to have the same problem.

Initial sync form iMac to iPhone works fine BUT if i change the name of an album in iTunes, then sync, the change is not reflected in the Music app. on the iPhone.

I talked to Apple support but they could not fix the problem, so I logged a bug report on apple.com.

Anyone else have this problem?

Same exact issue. Very frustrating!

I think it is very strange that something so basic does not work. I was hoping that iTunes 11.1.4 would fix the problem, but it didn't :-(

I also hate the way in the Music app. if you look at all the albums for a given artist they are sorted by album date.

I find that deleting all music from my phone and resyncing usually solves any tag issues I have.

That was the one workaround Apple suggested BUT I have around 120GB of music on my iPad and syncing takes almost for forever.
