I just updated to Lion last night and wanted to delete my podcasts off today before heading out. When I plug my iPhone in to iTunes it does a one step sync (usually does a 3 step sync) and won't let me delete anything off. This includes songs, playlists, podcasts, etc. I also can not add any music or anything to my iPhone in iTunes either.

When I upgraded to Lion I did a complete clean install and backed up my iTunes library and imported in after the install.

Anyone know what the problem is?

I THINK I may have figured it out. I had to manually go to each section in iTunes (podcasts, music, apps) and select "sync" then select "sync only checked". Now it seems I can add and delete as I like. Only crappy part was it wiped ALL my music I had off my iPhone when I did it. But now it seems to be working...

*sigh*

Is this correct? I don't want to sync my entire library, just what I want to move to my iPhone. Strangely enough, I NEVER remember having to do this before.
