iPhone not syncing some pictures from iPhoto

I took some pictures on my iPhone, synced them with Mac in iPhoto and deleted them from the camera roll on the phone as they would be in my photo library and should sync back to phone through events. When I performed a sync it said some pictures could not sync from iPhoto to iPhone since they could not be viewed on iPhone. I found this odd since they had all been taken originally on the iPhone. Any ideas?
