Apple has added the optimized battery charging feature to reduce the time the phone spends fully charged by learning from user charging routine. Since this is likely a software controlled feature, I am wondering if this feature is still enabled when the iphone is powered off?

The phone will automatically itself on when connected to power.

you can’t charge an iphone when it is turn off.

Since said feature is software controlled, the phone has to be turned on in order for said feature to work.

You actually can!

You connect it first while it's on and then you turn it off after and it will still charge.
Hmm. I didn’t know that.
Will try that and see if it’s charge faster all the way. The last % from 90 to 100 always takes forever on my 8 plus.
