On SL I'd set an alias from the MobileSync folder to an external USB drive with my two device backups. Worked a treat and saved over 10GB on my Mini Mac SSD.

Now I've upgraded it to Lion GM and I can't backup either device through iTunes.

I can't even find a mobilesync folder to reconfigure the alias or get iTunes to do a fresh backup back to the SSD.

Any ideas?
