iphone + pennstate VPN = problems

i go to penn state and i looked up the settings for the VPN i put them all in and it connects and works. My problem is even when it says im connected to VPN sometimes it just won't load anything. It says it connected but sometimes just doesn't work!

anybody have any ideas as to why it works sometimes but not all the time?

The VPN setup on the iPhone currently doesn't seem to do DNS Resolution. So http://namehere.com may not work, where http://ip.add.re.ss does.

I have this problem using a PPTP or IPSEC or Cisco VPN session.
