iPhone personal hotspot not showing in 11.4 big sur

As per the thread title, my iphonehotspot no longer shows after updating to 11.4 big sur and ios 14.6 on my iphone 12 pro max.

Don't know if its the iphone update or big sur, anyone else noticing the same?

I can turn the hotspot on my phone and it works fine but can't initiate the connection from the macbook.
 
Is that from the hotspot showing up in the wifi menu on big sur even if the hotspot is turned off on the phone?

Ie. you can initiate the connection from the mac? Thats the bit i’m struggling with…
