Hey guys,
I've seen these forlders in my system before and I'm curious, what is it, what's it for?

This is where iTunes stores an iPhone/iPod/iPad friendly version of your photos that are sync to it. If this folder is deleted, iTunes will reprocess all of your photos that are to be synced to your iDevice and the folder and its contents will be restored.
