iPhone Photo Transfer

Please excuse the basic question - it's my girlfriends phone, and I'm unfamiliar with them. She wants to sync various files that are on her phone, so they transfer over to her Macbook.

So how can I transfer her phones photos to the computer.

I've tried bluetooth, and they recognise each other, but the computer says it doesn't have the capabilities.*

I've tried iSync - and it sees the phone but says it can't sync!!

I've tried iTunes - no joy there - I've pressed sync - but no files transfer either way.

* I had a bluettoth equipped phone once but the BT was limited to connecting to a headset - but could not transfer files. Is this the case with her iPhone - limited bluetooth?

use iPhotos to transfer pictures from phone to mac.

Thanks - that worked for photos.

I tried to sync music - and it said it had, but when I tried to find it in the phones iTunes, it just showed what was available in the store - I couldn't see her music.....
