I got messed up for assuming that if I edited or cropped a photo in the photo album (using the built in tools on the iPhone), that the original would be maintained in the photo album. It wasn't.

So I'd like to know how to duplicate photos in my photo albums so that I can edit/crop them and maintain the original. As I have an iPhone 4s, it takes pretty high resolution photos, so we want to be sure that the original quality and resolution remains, and it isn't just a screen-resolution level copy or something like that.

Is there a way to do this that I'm missing?

Thanks!
