iPhone picture question.

How come when I take pictures with my iPhone they all turn out sideways when I take them off the iPhone and onto my desktop and into a folder??

I am using Windows 7 Ultimate. Any help on this would be great. Luckily Windows Live Photo Gallery lets me flip them to the right way but I don't think it should be like this.

Don't know the answer but the same used to happen for the SE K800i, SE Satio and BB 9300 I had, so maybe it's to do with WLPG? I'm on Windows 7 Ultimate as well.
