I'm going a trip and, of course, bringing along my new iPhone 6s Plus. I decided to try a portable charger.

I didn't know which brand is good to buy, and I currently purchased both. Which one should I keep? I just know the iPhone 6s Plus battery needs something more than 2800mAh. (I think the 6s Plus battery is 2750 mAh).

I went to Best Buy, and a salesperson suggested Mophie -- said that customers often returned the cheaper brands. I was skeptical but the guy even offered to price match Mophie on Amazon and went through all the models and found that the red colored 4000mAh Mophie Juice Pack was on sale for $30 instead of the Best Buy's price of $79 and he would price match that.

First time I've had a Best Buy employee price match something on their own initiative, so I figured it was a good buy.

Then when I came home, I noticed some polarizing views on the Mophie Juice Pack on Amazon. Some people liked it, while others said it malfunctioned. While there were more good reviews, the amount of bad reviews seemed a bit too many for my liking.

I saw that the Anker models generally had more positive reviews and for around $10 less I could get the 10,000 mAh Anker portable charger (Anker 2nd Gen Astro E3 ultra compact 10000 mAh) for @21.99. I can get multiple charges with that, or have it charge my other tablets (iPad Air 1, Nexus 7, maybe even my Kindle Paperwhite)

Should I return the Mophie and keep the Anker?

I never tried a portable charger before so not sure what to expect.

It's all personal need, but in my mind with Mophie you're paying for the brand name. Go for Anker

Agree with the above. I'd go with Anker. Plus their customer service is top notch.

Thanks! I was leaning toward keeping the Anker as well. I'll return the Mophie one.
