Did adjusting your sim card fix your iPhone 4 death grip reception issue?

No worse, no better in my situation - exactly the same situation: a hand-held cell phone that doesn't work as a cell phone when I hold it in my hand.
 
Based on how difficult it sounds to correctly position the sim card, I would venture to guess if even 10-20% of people see this fix it, the sim card is truly the culprit and this is a genuine fix. We will just need Apple to offer something more fail proof. Steve would have a hard time explaining it if he saw two side by side demos of the death grip with one exhibiting the symptoms and one not.
 
Mine was fixed for like a minute, which is weird.

Started going downhill from there.

But it lasted longer. Don't you dare say placebo because usually it goes down very quickly
