...is delivery on the 21st? i had a friend tell me shipping is on the 21st.

If you are lucky enough to get one of the first batch of phones, then yes, it will arrive on the 21st. Apple is really good at shipping. The past few times, I have done it this way and just had to wait for the delivery truck. Much better than waiting on line forever at a store (though I suppose some people find that fun).
