This may have been discussed many times but I couldn't find a thread so here my asking.(If it has been very sorry and direct me to it)
My brother is to visit me in UK for Xmas.
If he brings iPhone 16 Pro bought from Hong Kong Apple store as a gift for me in UK
1.Will it work with my existing Apple account of mine here in London?
2.Can I purchase Apple care for this new unregistered boxed phone bought in Hong Kong for me within 60 days here in UK
3.Will I have usual guarantee from Apple in UK?

Thanking you for your valuable answers

I can tell you some of it:

1. The Hong Kong phone is not "Officially" supported. That doesn't mean that it won't work - just that it's not the model Apple intends for use in UK https://www.apple.com/iphone/cellular/

2. The Hong Kong phone will not support eSIM. Phones from there have two physical SIMs and no eSIM.

3. If you do need to have it serviced, Apple may exchange it for a local model depending on the issue.

4. You will not have Consumer Law coverage with a Hong Kong phone.

Yes you can purchase AppleCare.
Regarding the warranty, it should be covered, but being physically different, it’s an educated guess on my part.
In the past I had no problem with US iPhones in Europe
