iPhone 17 Pro iPhone Pro to Air switch or vice versa

With the ongoing narrative of the Pro Vs the Air, curious to find out how many of us actually went all out and switched from the Pro to the Air (or vice versa) along with those of us contemplating such a move.

I went from a base 16, to a 17 Pro, to a base 17, and finally settle for a 16e, not kidding as a backup! 😎


Will be getting a Air as my daily! To me it feels like a 16e Plus, which I don't mind having.

Lol, no love for the base model? I switched from Air to base 17.

The 17 Pro was too thick and heavy. The Air was too wide and tall. While I'd prefer it if the base 17 remained 6.1" but with reduced bezels, it's my best fit among the current selection.

I got an Air on launch day, then managed to convince myself I should’ve got the 17 Pro so I did, regretted that decision and went back to an Air. Kept the Air and happy!

I went from a 15 Pro to an Air and then back to the 15 Pro. As much as I liked the Air (the supposed "compromises" in terms of battery, camera, speaker did not bother me at all) I had to go back to the Pro as the Air was just too wide and big for me to handle comfortably and was causing pain in my little finger.

Shame though as I really liked the Air, as much as iOS 26 and the glass look has been maligned it kind of seems like a really good fit for the Air
