So I cracked my screen on my 1st generation iPhone a few months back. It worked fine but was a big eyesore. I finally got around ordering a new screen and replaced it today. The aluminum case was hell to take off the first time. I just got done replacing the screen and it works just fine, but now there seems to be a problem with the proximity sensor. When I make a call and let it set idle I have to press the top, hard, where the proximity sensor is to get the screen to light up. When I let it go the screen goes blank again. (Isn't it supposed to be the other way around?) This is a pain when I need to make an international call and need to dial during the call. It reverts back to normal after the call is ended. Other then the phone call problems the iPhone works just fine. Anyone have any idea how to fix this? I'm taking it apart again. Also can someone tell me which of the 2 holes is the proximity sensor?
