Just thought I would post this up so that people are aware of the problem. My iPhone, which I purchased on day two of availability, just went in for a repair on the touchscreen. I had actually lost touch recognition in a solid bar across the phone approximately where 7 8 & 9 are on the basic numpad. I've sent the phone in for repair and will post again to update on whether it was a full replacement or a repair.

Had the same thing happen to me with my first Iphone. It was back in August. The Apple store where I bought it just gave me a new one.
Three weeks later that one started to have problems. It was the on/off button on the top of the phone. It was locked in the down position.
Took them about 5 days to have it fixed. Was easy because the repair center was in Fort Worth. I live in Dallas.

Gave that phone to a buddy and used my store credit to get the 8 gig one.
So far everyone is happy.
