Hey guys, i just received my 3G iPhone. Love it, accept for one annoying problem. When i hold the phone vertically and switch it to silent/vibrate, it makes the vibrate sound as well as an annoying rattle. If i lay it horizontally it's fine. Anyone else experience this? i would do a restore, but i feel it's more of a physical problem than software.

Thanks

i have exactly the same thing...what did you decide to do in the end? did you take it back or learn to live with it! its not a massive issue but its annoying! :(

I also have this issue - did you guys end up taking it back?

Could it be something tied to the accelerometer?

Odd...definitely livable but just want to make sure it's not faulty.
