I need a easy free way to remotely wake my mac from my iPhone over a 3G or Edge connection.

Im not very tech savvy so if you know how to do this, please let me know with detailed instructions. I do know it has to be over ethernet, I know my MAC address and ALL my iP addresses. I already have set static addresses and all that jazz. And if it makes a difference, my router uses DHCP.

Did you enable the wake for "Ethernet network administrator access" option in the Energy Saver system preference? That would be on the Mac side. I think you might have to be jail broken so you can ssh in.
