iPhone Remote

on my iPhone, i have the 3.0 beta
i opened up the Remote App, and it proceeded to connect to my iTunes, i opened up a playlist i had just made on my computer, then got the "Cannot Connect to Local Network" message

This is when i realized Wifi was turned off...but i did have the iPhone plugged into my computer via USB (Internet tethering on, btw)

so apparently, the remote is capable of connecting to iTunes throught the USB cable...but not really

just an odd observation i had...

It could be a glitch with the app at the moment, considering the current version is built for 2.2.1 - maybe once 3.0 is publicly released and Apple updates the app that it'll work via USB.
