I’m a person with low immune system.

im about to order my replacement iPhone via Apple ers next week once the spigen glass cover for camera arrives.

once my unit comes what Do you recommend I use to clean the box it self that the unit comes and the Device before I put a screen protector And handle the device ?

can I use gloves to handle the device and install screen protector ?

My mother has COPD and i do her shopping. I've been doing lot's of reading and apparently COVID-19 can live on cardboard and fabric for 24 hours and 3 days on metal and plastic. Keep in mind this is in a controlled lab environment so a bit less in the real world.

I know Apple has said you can clean the phone with alcohol wipes. Do not spray it on the phone though. What i do is either leave all my packages for 3 days and dont touch them or if i need to use it i clean them with alcohol or lysol wipes.

In your case what i would do is

1.) open up the phone put on the screen protector
2.) throw out trash and put the box and stuff away
3.) wash hands and wash the case at the same time with soap
4.) let case dry
5.) spray alcohol on paper towel of microfiber cloth and wipe down phone, cable, charger
6.) wash hands

You should be good to go. In reality there should be no virus's on it since it has been sitting in a store or in the mail for more than 3 days. But since it is sealed pretty good i would just follow these steps to be 100%.

Please do some more reading though because i'm not a doctor lol.
