Hi all,
I lost my iPhone and claimed on the insurance took nearly 30 days to get another!!! I don't recommend using my insurance company, Protect Your Bubble.

The insurance company sent me out the replacement in a very strange box it doesn't look like its a new phone to me to be honest.

I'm wondering whether its a refurbishment or not. Can anyone tell from the start of this serial number: 5K122J**** ? what can be told about it?

I remember there being a independent site an ex employee setup where you could put the serial number in and it would decode it. Done a quick Google cant find it :( anyone have that link?

Also

Now I'm stuck with a new phone on the latest firmware is there a way to Hack this yet?

Appreciate any help. 30 days without an iPhone has been HELL!!!

Anything 5K is referb, by apple. Good stuff, their refurbs are like new and don't come with retail materiel at all.

4.3.3 has an untethered jailbreak, search around there are one or two threads on it.
