My new iPhone 17 Pro Max has required me to enter my password every morning for the last three days. Looking through the battery usage logs, I see a large gap highlighted in green:

And looking in the Analytics Data (under Privacy & Security --> Analytics & Improvements), I see multiple "OTAUpdate" entries:

Is it reasonable to assume that Apple is pushing multiple updates over the past week and my iPhone is resartign overnight after installing? If so, is this normal? I do have Automatic Updates set to "Download Only" and I'm already running iOS26 so I don't know what would actually be updating.

Thanks for any insight you can provide. I'm just trying to figure out if there is an issue with my new phone or if this is just another of the many bugs in iOS26 that will be addressed in an update.

This is reminding me of similar incidents back with iOS 17: https://www.macworld.com/article/2104482/iphone-shutting-down-overnight-ios-17-0-3-update.html

My 17PM doesn't show all those OTA updates, so I'm not sure.
The phone did not ship with 26.0 GM. It had a beta and needed a day 1 update to the final. But that was the only update available.

Do you have "System Files" enabled under Automatic Updates? I wonder if these are what's being downloaded/installed.

I read on another thread (regarding similar issues in iOS 17) that somebody tracked it down to System Memory Resets. I have three of these entries over the last three days at about the same time (~2:00 AM) that my phone restarted.
