I've read a few threads about this but none of them have fixed my problem. It is literally respringing over and over. I can't even turn it off because it resprings before i can turn it off! What do I do??

Try holding the home and power button and then let go off the the power button 6 seconds later but keep holding the home down while its plugged in to itunes.
It should then detect it and let you restore it.
Check out some videos on how to enter DFU mode online.
Its all about timing.

Hold down the home and power button at the same time for like 10 seconds, it should turn back on. Then try DFU again.
