Since updating to ios 13.6 yesterday I noticed that after i shut down the iphone, i have to wait about a full minute to turn it back on, Before that i had to wait 30 seconds or less.
Can someone else confirm this?

I think that is normal behaviour. My iPhone 11 Pro Max has done it since I got the device new last Nov. It concerned me at first, I kinda panicked thinking it wasn’t going to turn on. Just turns out it needs more time to finish closing down.

I do remember reading another post about it, but that was so long ago no way can I remember when.

But to puts your mind at rest, I’ve not had an issue with it at all.

Got the same thing on the new SE 2020. Takes ages to turn off. Normal for everyone so no worries.

For some reason though, the iPad Pro takes seconds to shut down, go figure.

I see. I don't know if it's ios 13.6 or what but before i was able to turn it back on after waiting for 10-30 seconds. Maybe ios 13.6 has bad RAM management or something...
Now it's 1 min exact even with no background apps running.

I think my iPhones have always taken a bit more time to shut down. Not that it would make much of a difference, I hardly ever reboot until necessary with any computer these days.

Hi E,

I’m a bit old school with the Ipad, so close down when not use overnight etc.

It does seem to take longer, but I usually waited a few minutes after shutting down normally before turning back on. So not overly concerned about the time it takes, just as long as it starts back up.

I've noticed that on my wife's XR. I was concerned that it seemingly took a long time reboot the XR. I haven't noticed long reboot times on my xs max.
