iphone restore from back up problem

So the other day I had to take my old 8 gig iphone to the apple store due to some problems I was having with it, and they ended up replacing it for me. I backed everything up before hand (it took forever). When I got home and tried to restore my info it literally took 2-2 1/2 hrs for it to go through only once it showed it was done it never finished so I tried it again and the same thing happened. It sucks losing all my texts and stuff but I can get over that. I just really don't want to lose all the pics I took with the camera and the progress I had made in the games I downloaded. I tried searching my computer for the pics I took from the iphone but I couldn't find them. If anyone could help me out that'd be great. Thanks in advance.
