When the iPhone was announce for Verizon, apple.com let existing customers check their eligibility and the price was $599 for 16GB/ $699 for 32GB ( I can't find the thread where the screen shot was posted).

On the Verizon site, the phone is $649 and $749.

Does anyone know if Apple went up on their retail price for the phone? Even though it's just $50, $599 looks a lot better than $649.

Thanks!

I talked to an Apple rep today and the person told me that they do not have final retail pricing on the iphone 4 for Verizon yet. But this is a customer service rep who may not be in the loop. So take it with a grain of salt. My guess would be Apple will still be $50 less than Verizon, but I suppose it could change and they both could be equally as spendy.
