Right I brought 3 Songs from iTunes So I Could Use Them as Ringtones And Was Un aware That I Then Had To Buy Them Again so I Could Do This, So I Thought Hey Why Not Use Audacity And Choose My 30 Seconds And Export It As An Mp3 Then Import It to iTunes And Convert It To ACC (M4A) And Then Change The Name To M4R and Hey Presto What Do You Know It Worked So I Wrote You all Up A Tutorial If You Want To Do It.
well first of all you will Need:
  1. Your iPhone
  2. Audacity (Download the Aduacity Package with Lame Mp3 Encoder here [http://tinyurl.com/3brdsh])
  3. Lame Mp3 Encoder
  4. Itunes 7.5.0 Or Better
  5. iPhone Dock
  6. Windows Xp (Mac Tutorial When I Get My Ibook Charged)
First This You Want To Do Is Load Up Audacity,
Then Load Your Mp3 Music File.

When Its Finished You Will See The Music File In The Audacity Window

Play Through The Song And Find Atleast 28.5 Seconds Of It You Like, Highlight The Rest Of The Song And Simply Press DELETE Or Del.

Now Highlight The Last 1-2 Seconds Of The Song And Go To Effects And Fade Out

With That Out The Way Your Can Now Go To File export as Mp3.
Save it To The Desktop and Load iTunes.
Now Make the iTunes Window Smaller And Drag Your Mp3 File Into iTunes.
Make a Play List Called Ringtones. and Then Drag It From The Music Library To There. Next HightLight The Song By Clicking On It, and Go To Advanced Convert Selection To ACC. Wait For This Process to Complete And Close iTunes. Open Windows Explorer (Windowskey and E) And
Now Go to My Music\ iTunes Music \ Artist Name \ Album Name

Find The Song In This Case Its 01 Through the Fire and Flames.m4a

if you havent already you will need to un hide your file extentions to rename the file so it will work with the Iphone Ringtones System.
Windows XP

Windows Vista
http://www.fileinfo.net/help/windows-show-extensions.html
Rename It To 01 Through the Fire and Flames.m4r (of course Yours Will be Song name.m4r)
Then Double Click Your New Ringtone File
01 Through the Fire and Flames.m4r
This Will Open iTunes With Your New Ringtone In The Ringtones Folder.

Now Goto Your iPhone.
Go to Sync
Go to Ringtones
Sync Selected RingTones Select Your Ringtone And Sync Your iPhone

As Long As The Song Section Is No Smaller than 28.5 Seconds And No Longer Than 31.5 Seconds It Will Work Flawlessly.

Thanks For Looking At My Tutorial
