ModMyiPhone.com posted photos from iPhone Sales Training manuals which arrived today at AT&T stores.

The site quotes some portions of the manual which describe the Email features and Safari features which help sell the iPhone. No new information about the iPhone is revealed in the available passages.

I didn't know training manuals could be this exciting? I think right know anything with the word "iPhone" is pretty um great, despite how normally boring it should be.

Why? There are going to say what we know. A great device with horrible broadband because its on a ****** network.

I WANT THE BOOK!!!! ....... crap..... does that make me a fanboy?

With that book I could convince all my friends and family my phone will be better than theirs.... wait.... damnit.

I wonder which chapter trains salespeople to tell folks not to touch the iPhone with a 10 foot pole? My mother-in-law was at a Cingular/at&t store today and the sales guy told her to stay away from the iPhone simply because no one would insure it. I've never dropped a dime on a protection plan and I figure if I drop a $600 phone it's nobody's fault but mine. She said he was telling everyone the same thing, so hopefully he'll drive down demand in the area enough that there'll be one in stock when I get there on the 29th :)

I wish the iPhone was a little more expensive and came in great colors like red, white and blue. Right now it makes me feel like I'm about to eat a McDonalds burger. I want something with class. I want it to make me feel like I'm chewing on a delicious Sizzler or Ponderosa steak. Shoot, I'd even settle for the feeling of traveling in an exotic land, like the garlic laced goodness of an authentic italian Olive Garden breadstick.

I want some of what you are smoking.

Is 80 hour battery charge to be expected, assuming you only watch a few movies per day? I'm taking a 3 day bus ride from Boston to Providence and want to make sure I've got enough juice to watch a healthy hunk of my Nick Nolte collection.

ATT Guy

I talked to an ATT employee a month ago an he also said that the phone was not going to be that great because of the price. Seems like Steve's RDF isn't working on the ATT employees.

I don't understand why Apple even at this stage are not advertising its technical features, nobody knows anything about the phone and we're only going to find out about it on the 29th. I wonder why the stores will be busy, its literally all flash no substance deliberately!

Don't worry. By the end of the day tomorrow, I'm sure someone will have posted a downloadable PDF of it.

im so sad, my birthday is the 22nd and i was saving for an iphone, but i just had to spend 900 to fly across the country next week. ****a ****a.

Well, little leaks like this are to be expected when working with a company that's not quite as religiously secretive as Apple, but you can be sure that Steve isn't happy about this...

Luckily, Apple doesn't have to worry quite so much about lame AT&T employees since they will have the RDF in full force at Apple stores. Those phones will sell themselves and if they have a laid back, computer based phone contract system in place (as rumored), it just may be the best phone purchasing experience you can possibly have.

In Santa Monica on the Promenade there is an Apple Store and a Helio Store (which basically is a wanna-be apple store in style). I think it's funny that the Apple store will sell phones now, and probably way more than the Helio store.

Erm, all the TV advertisements are of iPhones completing various tasks (email, web, photo, music, calls, etc.) How much more technical-feature oriented can a commercial get?

Spaceballs - the paper toilet!

These little details demonstrate that this is an exciting time for all at Cupertino, all MacSites, and all Mac fans around the world.

I want my iPhone dammit!!!

this should be a good place to ask

i've been trying to get an answer to this but haven't, yet: will Address Book, iCal and Mail sync completely to the iPhone?

--will contacts sync in their entirety, including home and work addresses, multiple phone numbers, AND the notes fields?
--iCal events including links, alarms, etc?

Having all the cal/contact info from my notebook with me when i'm carrying the iPhone is an important factor in my buying decision. Unacceptably convoluted (or simply incomplete/lacking) syncing features with other, otherwise nice phones, has been a big disappointment.
