Morning all,

When I heard about the iPhone scheme in the US, I thought for myself this would be great over in the UK.

Unfortunately I've just got word from chat support with Apple that they wouldn't be doing this over in the UK. Now I did ask if it would even be in the future and she said no it wouldn't. this could change who knows but this would have been perfect for me.

Anyone else on here from the UK would have liked to have this option?

It's much easier to do yourself over here due to lack of carrier locks and contracts.

1. Buy iPhone for £600-700
2. Sell 12 months later for £400-500
3. Rinse and repeat

Worked a treat for me for several years now.

~£200 a year for a new iPhone
£15/month contract
= £380/year for the latest iPhone, unlimited data, texts, minutes, tethering

True but its sometimes just the hassle off selling, I had so many issues selling my 5s. Just thought of it all being in one tidy bundle made it seem easier.

*EDIT* plus you'd get Apple care with the scheme which is a bonus

Then you need to befriend some more careless people ;)

On a serious note, it would of course be nice to have a scheme here too. Anything that avoids horrible carrier contracts.

It was a scheme I was interested in and would have definitely looked into it

I mean she could be wrong, they could release it before Christmas if not the next gen iPhone. Would have worked well for me and my current contract
