I have a nice lil burn in ..in the top left of my screen. Its sort of yellow when angled correctly.

Is this something that I could get replaced by my warranty
?

I didn't think it was possible for LCD's to have burn in? That was with CRT monitors back in the day.

LCDs are subject to image persistence, but it can typically be cleared. I'm pretty sure what he's referring to is not really burn-in. Perhaps discoloration.

Go ask at local Apple store and they may just hand you a new one. I have seen many stories of the Geniuses doing this and not asking many questions. It is worth a try if you have a valid warranty.

I have a little discoloration on the top left of my phone too...only can tell when it is off though.

If it is still under warranty then there is a pretty good chance that they will swap it out if you take it to an Apple Store. Calling Apple's support line, on the other hand, is unlikely to yield results in a case like this.

I had the same issue with mine, as well as air bubbles on my screen,
so apple replaced it, but the one I have now won't stop restarting on its own, so now I need to make another trip to apple.

.

had the same exact burn in down the right side of my phone. most noticeable against a black background. brought it into apple and they gave me a new one.

I had the exact same thing happen to my where a yellowish, kinda brownish discoloration on my screen. mine was located in the bottom left corner about an inch long and a quater inch wide. stil have no answer to y it happend but i calld customer support @ 800-myiphone or whatever the number is. when i got on the fone with them i automaticly told them i knew it wasnt a software problem after i described the situation to them and told them i was pretty sure and figured it was a hardware problem, like the screen. so then i told em i basicly wantd to send it in to check it out and they scheduled my a loaner ifone i paid for to b sent to me. got my loaner fone, sent mine to them and like 3 days later i think got me a new one sent to me replacing my old one. sent the loaner fone back. dun deal. they never did send me any info telln me the problem just that it was replaced. btw i could only really c the discoloration when my fone was off like described by another poster, but when i had it on, like in safari, i could definately tell it was there but it had a white-ish color to it and if i lookd at it at an angle i could c the yellowish, brownish color a little. hope this helps u.

ya its discoloration....i can see it quite often...hmm should i wait a week for the new one? lol and just pay the difference
