There seems to be a "border" of unlit pixels evenly all around the edge of the iphone screen. On another iphone I saw it appeared that all pixels right up to the edge of the screen itself were used. Is this normal?

I'm not talking about "dead" or "stuck" pixels if that's what you mean. Rather the screen seems to big for the image on it.

I never really noticed until my phone was in direct sunlight.

But ya ... there is a weird gap between the actual pixels and the start of the black border.

Did you try Google? Didn't think so. If you are talking about a "border" around the screen, why would you Google for "dead" or "stuck" pixels? You wouldn't.
