iPhone screen same as iPod?

Hi everyone. Well, I'm new in here so be polite

I have an iPod Touch 4G almost new, but the problem is that one night, the air conditioner started to drop water over it and the battery died. It is still alive, but the battery dies after 10 hours and need to be recharged again. I also have an iPhone 3GS with me, and I was wondering if I can use my iPod screen (Retina display) and put it on my iPhone 3GS! Of course I won't do it by myself, but I just want to know if the screen is going to fit on the iPhone and if the retina "power" will work on it.

Not really feasible. Would require changing out certain chips as well. If it worked it would probably only run at half the resolution.

I read the comment below and I was thinking of taking both with a guy I know and to tell him to take the needed parts from the iPod, but I prefer to stay with my "low-definition" screen and not to take any risk. Thank you!
