this could explain the use of the term 'roadmap'

maybe the actual final release will coincide with the release of iPhone 3G of which we're hearing rumbles from UBS?

You know what if they atleast release enterprise features like iWork mobile then I will be happy.

At this point I am done jail breaking for nothing more than TEXT EDIT

Maybe they will finish it by the time iPhone 2.0 is released.

By then it will obsolete!

I hope the guys developing the apps for us jailbreakers don't hold back waiting.

Will probably be final with the release of the iphone 2.0. Thats fine with me, my battery will be dying by then :p

I guess developers will work with whatever they are given, I just want to start getting some of the applications sooner rather than in June.

But if it's just a beta will we even see any of the apps? My guess is they will throw us a teaser now and then.:(

You can forget Skype or MMS, the bean counters at AT&T will never let that stuff happen.

When are the Google phones supposed to start rolling out?

What a bust

I really hope that Apple does release the SDK with the intention of only implementing the new apps on iPhone 2.0.

I had a feeling that this might of been the case - but, I'll wait until March to see if that is really what's going on. I hope not, but no way to tell now. But, for Apple to promise a release in February, they either ran into a big problem, or over estimated their ability to finish it up as fast.

Hopefully they won't pull another Leopard on us. :p

They already have.

With Apple's recent trend of falling through with their promises, I'm beginning to lose trust in Steve's words. We don't yet know what March 6th will reveal, but it's already past they're promised date.

Not to mention they had an entire month's worth of wiggle room to get it figured out...
