I'm looking for a straight talk phone that's under $250. My store only has the iPhone XR & the IPhone SE 2020

So between the XR & SE 2020 which would you say is better?
Pros & cons?

only reason i would take the XR is battery life.
just for me its too big, but thats what you have to feel…

other than that you can compare the specs on apples website

XR: Better battery, bigger screen.
SE2: Better SOC, smaller.

And a few other minor things here and there, which I won't list.

Personally I just recommend you choose based on the phone size that suits you the most.

I have the XR and my wife has the SE 2020. Personally I think the XR is a better phone (bigger screen, Face ID). Both are plenty fast.

Same thoughts here - I’d select based on screen size as well.

I've had an XR for 3 years and it's been a bullet proof performer. Great battery, great screen, decent camera. Can't compare directly with 2020 SE although the issue did one delivered on Sat but it's not yet set up.

I would pick the SE 2020 because it's lighter, has an aspect ratio I prefer, doesn't have a notch, and has touch ID which I prefer to Face ID.

I’d choose based on size preference, and whether you prefer face or Touch ID. The XR has better battery life, but the SE 2020 charges so quickly it balances out IMO. I’ve had and enjoyed both at different times, and for different reasons.

You want FaceID or a big screen : go for XR
You want TouchID (better when using mask and no apple watch) or smaller screen/phone : go for SE

Battery is little better on XR too

The XR is a better media consumption device with bigger display, battery, and better sound (spatial audio support). The only advantage SE has is the slightly faster processor.

The XR is a fantastic phone with a great battery. I've been rolling with it since release date and I'm consistently surprised how well I still enjoy the phone. I went from an every year upgrade to three years with the XR.

….and Touch ID, and size, and weight.

They’re both solid phones. I’ve used both but if you’d ask me today I would pick the SE without a doubt, mainly because it’s smaller and lighter. I used the XR for over 2,5 years before switching to an SE 2020 earlier this year. I had become really tired of the size and weight of the XR and didn’t feel like splurging on the 12 mini (or by then, upcoming 13 mini). I’m really happy with the SE. The main advantage with the XR is having better battery life, but, as someone already stated in this thread, the SE charges kind of quickly with a fast charger. Having the big screen of the XR is of course nice as well, but for me it is much more important to have a phone I can somewhat easily manage with one hand if I want to. You just have to ask yourself what’s most important to you.

SE2 also has a technically better camera, but you are right, overall the XR is the better media consumption device. If someone preferred a smaller size phone though then the SE2 is the better choice.
