I use the basic calculator that came with the phone. I don't know if this is on me, but I often have no way to clear the data in the calculator (using an AC or similar button). Sometimes the AC button shows and things are okay. Sometimes not. There is never a C (clear) button available. Sometimes, pressing the equal (=) button resets everything. But oftentimes, nothing but resetting the phone clears the calculator memory. I'll look around for another calculator, but I thought this was a crazy situation.

What version of the SE do you have ?

On my SE 3, the AC clears the entry although I usually have it set to the scientific calculator mode.

On the scientific calculator mode, a delete button often replaces the AC button.

Interestingly, I have the 2020SE and 2022SE. I didn't think to check until your message, but it works on the 2020SE but not the 2022. Very strange. There is absolutely no button on the 2022 that will work. It used to work. Something is amiss :)

Edit:
Thinking cap is not on today. I deleted the app and re-installed it. Seems fine. One thing unnerving though is that there doesn't appear to be a way to clear the data once you start entering a number. The only way to do it that which I could figure is to x out (or delete) the previous entry.
I tell ya, I've been using calculators since the abacus and I never came across anything like this. One step forward, ...
